Uganda’s AIDS epidemic, extreme poverty and decades of civil conflict have left its country with more than 2.4 million orphans ~ the most of any country in the world. It is estimated that this number will reach a staggering 3.5 million by 2011.

ACF Uganda is on the ground and working to address the needs of Uganda’s most vulnerable population.

We are providing the necessities of life today - shelter, food, clothing, education, and medical care if needed. We are also looking forward and ensuring the children in our care have the life skills necessary to achieve success in their future.

Due to a lack of government-subsidized education, extended families and orphanages face an enormous financial barrier to educating Uganda's children. ACF Uganda is helping to address this unmet need by providing education under our Child Education Sponsorship Program (CESP) and support to AIDS-related orphans and vulnerable children, while at the same time promoting global awareness of the effects of HIV/AIDS. Through our education and support programs in Uganda and the ACF Uganda Mission Trips, we are able to give hope to children in Uganda and help the world understand the devastating effects of HIV/AIDS on children in developing nations.

You can donate a pair/pairs of shoes which will make a big difference in places where children go barefoot. These children attract germs to their feet and damage their skin.

Education is the only life lasting gift that one can give to an orphan and this puts a long lasting impression in a child's mind.

ACF uses capable people in the field of evangelism and psychological counseling. ACF believes there is a place for everyone in missions. Support ministries offer a way for people to find their niche in missions by using their God-given talents and abilities to work hand-in-hand with other missionaries and national Christians. Some available opportunities include being accountants, treasurers, mechanics, computer technicians, work team coordinators, maintenance workers, and guesthouse hosts. These support roles complement the other ministries on our fields.
